Biography
Music
became a part of my life at an early age. Growing up in a household
of eight, (a father who played guitar, a mother who was always singing,
and four lovely sisters, oh, and let's not forget the handsome brother),
molded my creative spirit. Melody was always a part of my life.
Soon to follow was the song.
I first performed music when I was in high school. An all-girl
Catholic institution in St. Louis County. I started as a
second soprano but soon moved
up, oh, I mean down, to alto. By
the end of my senior year, I had ventured out into the world of musical
theater. Very unsuccessfully I might add.
In
college I studied the art of acting. I stuck to straight drama
and smartly stayed away from the likes of Pippin and Cats, (dancing
was not my forte). In my free time, I taught myself how to play
guitar, and was soon performing covers in bars almost every night of
the week. Did I mention I was at Mizzou?
You can imagine how much fun I was having! Anyway, on I went,
playing music for food and fun. After the inspiration to write
my first song, ("Earthquakes and Airplanes"), my music
career took a more serious turn. That's when I knew, I wanted
to be a musician.
